Unison Hardware, Inc., began in Germany in 1991 and has since established three manufacturing factories in China; in 2005 Unison began developing and marketing its INOX® (residential) and Unison (commercial) product lines for the United States (North American Building Markets).

While their core business in Europe has focused on OEM manufacturing for the leading brands in the EU market, in the U.S. they have developed their own brands of products.
