Who we work with in Northern Nevada

We are brought in by operators who cannot meet the demand placed on them and do not want to make large capital investments yet. These are mid-market manufacturers and business-process organizations, and public agencies. Northern Nevada clients include Sierra Nevada Corporation, Jensen Precast, RTC Washoe and the State of Nevada.

What we do

• Kaizen events: five days in which six to ten people from your operation map a process, find the constraint, redesign the work and stand it back up to run the following Monday. A ninety-day sustainment roadmap follows. See Services.
• Lean Strategy Session: two days on-site with leadership that turn a Lean effort into a written vision and up to ten kaizen charters ready to run.
• Standard work and SOPs: processes documented so the person who runs them can keep them current. See SOP and standard work.
• Fractional Lean Officer: a standing head of Lean for a year, running a portfolio of up to ten improvement projects.
• Training: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt through University of Nevada, Reno Extended Studies, or on-site at your company. See Teaching.

Do you work on-site in Reno and Sparks?

Yes. Rishi Malhotra is based in Reno, and kaizen events, strategy sessions and on-site classes run at your facility.

Can our team get Green Belt certified locally?

Yes. The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is taught through UNR Extended Studies, either at the University or on-site at your company. UNR certifies on-site students on the same terms.
