Edge Core Tech
Edge Core Tech was founded in Reno on 1 October 2016 as a precision sheet-metal-fabrication and machined-parts contract manufacturer, on a family lineage that describes itself as two generations of Nevada manufacturing. The firm operates from Sierra Manor Drive in south Reno, taking design-file-to-finished-part work across cut, form, weld, machine, and finish, and running a book of contract work for regional and national OEMs whose products require precision sheet-metal enclosures, brackets, and structural assemblies. Ten years on, the firm continues to operate as a mid-size Nevada job shop, positioned in the same north-of-Reno corridor as a number of the state’s other contract manufacturers.
The firm’s services span the full contract-manufacturing sequence: engineering support at the design stage, laser and waterjet cutting of sheet stock, forming and press-brake operations, CNC machining, MIG and TIG welding, hardware installation, and a menu of finishing operations (powder-coating, anodising, plating, and marking) that let the finished part ship to the customer’s specification without a downstream contractor. Materials worked include carbon and stainless steels, aluminium, and copper alloys; batch sizes range from prototype and short-run through mid-volume production series. Certifications are held to the standards its customers require.
Edge Core Tech’s operating position is as a Nevada precision-fabrication shop small enough to run a design-file-to-finished-part job on a single floor, and large enough to hold industry certifications and to sustain a full sequence of machining, welding, and finishing under one roof. The firm’s family framing — two generations of Nevada manufacturing — reads on the shop floor as a bias toward direct engineering-and-owner accessibility on customer jobs, rather than the layered account-management model of larger contract manufacturers.
